Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data: name, email address, and password (stored hashed), plus your chosen language, when you create an account.
• Saved searches and favorites: the search filters you save and the properties you favorite, so we can alert you to new matches and let you find them again.
• Leads: the name, email, phone number, and message you submit through an inquiry, valuation request, or seller listing form, or that you send us by email.
• Usage data: pages visited and features used, collected to keep the platform reliable and to understand which pages are useful.

Analytics

We use two measurement services: Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics. They tell us which pages are used and where a journey stops, so we can fix the parts that do not work.

What is never sent to either: your email address, your name, your phone number, the text of any message or question you write, and the text you type into a search box. Not a street address, not a map area, not the name of a place you picked.

What is sent: counts, yes or no flags, and labels from a fixed list. For a search, for example, how many filters were active, whether a location was set at all, and which size band the result count fell into. These are enforced in our code by an allow list: a value that is not a number, a flag or one of the fixed labels cannot be transmitted.

Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymisation. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we switch both providers off for your visit: no page view and no event is recorded. You can also stop all of it at the source with your browser's tracking-protection settings or with any analytics blocker; nothing on this site depends on it.

Personalized newsletter

If you subscribe to the weekly newsletter, you can choose areas, a budget, property types and a language on your account page; we use them only to pick the listings in your email. If you also switch on "Use the areas I browse" (off by default), then only while you are signed in we record which canton or commune you view listings in, whether to buy or to rent, how many times and when you last did so: never the pages, listings or searches themselves, and no IP address. Nothing of this is kept in your browser. We use these counts only to choose listings for your newsletter when you have not chosen areas yourself, and we delete an area's count 90 days after your last view there (the daily clean-up runs within a day of that). Switching the option off deletes all of them. You can also clear what is stored or unsubscribe at any time on your account page, and every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link. The listing photos in the newsletter load, when you open the email and as they do on our website, from the servers of the property portals or advertisers that published them, so those servers receive the usual technical request data, such as your IP address.

Si vous êtes abonné à la newsletter hebdomadaire, vous pouvez choisir dans votre compte des régions, un budget, des types de biens et une langue ; nous les utilisons uniquement pour sélectionner les annonces de votre e-mail. Si vous activez aussi l'option « Use the areas I browse » (désactivée par défaut), nous enregistrons, uniquement lorsque vous êtes connecté, le canton ou la commune des annonces que vous consultez, s'il s'agit d'achat ou de location, le nombre de consultations et la date de la dernière, jamais les pages, les annonces ou les recherches elles-mêmes, ni votre adresse IP. Rien de cela n'est conservé dans votre navigateur. Ces décomptes servent uniquement à choisir les annonces de votre newsletter lorsque vous n'avez pas choisi de régions, et nous supprimons le décompte d'une région 90 jours après votre dernière consultation (le nettoyage quotidien intervient dans la journée qui suit). Désactiver l'option les supprime tous. Vous pouvez aussi effacer les données enregistrées ou vous désabonner à tout moment depuis votre compte ; chaque newsletter contient aussi un lien de désabonnement. Les photos des annonces de la newsletter se chargent à l'ouverture de l'e-mail, comme sur notre site, depuis les serveurs des portails immobiliers ou des annonceurs qui les ont publiées ; ces serveurs reçoivent donc les données techniques habituelles de la requête, comme votre adresse IP.

Wenn Sie den wöchentlichen Newsletter abonniert haben, können Sie in Ihrem Konto Regionen, ein Budget, Objektarten und eine Sprache wählen; wir verwenden diese Angaben nur, um die Inserate in Ihrer E-Mail auszuwählen. Wenn Sie zusätzlich die Option «Use the areas I browse» einschalten (standardmässig aus), speichern wir, nur solange Sie angemeldet sind, in welchem Kanton oder welcher Gemeinde Sie Inserate ansehen, ob zum Kauf oder zur Miete, wie oft und wann zuletzt, nie die Seiten, Inserate oder Suchen selbst und keine IP-Adresse. In Ihrem Browser wird davon nichts gespeichert. Wir verwenden diese Zählungen nur, um Inserate für Ihren Newsletter auszuwählen, wenn Sie selbst keine Regionen gewählt haben, und löschen die Zählung einer Region 90 Tage nach Ihrem letzten Aufruf dort (die tägliche Bereinigung erfolgt innerhalb eines Tages danach). Das Ausschalten der Option löscht alle Zählungen. Sie können die gespeicherten Angaben zudem jederzeit in Ihrem Konto löschen oder den Newsletter abbestellen; jeder Newsletter enthält einen Abmeldelink. Die Inseratefotos im Newsletter werden beim Öffnen der E-Mail, wie auf unserer Website, von den Servern der Immobilienportale oder Inserenten geladen, die sie veröffentlicht haben; diese Server erhalten dabei die üblichen technischen Anfragedaten, etwa Ihre IP-Adresse.

Public property listing data

Alpine Market aggregates property listing data (address, price, photos, agent or agency contact details) from publicly available Swiss property portals and public sources. We process this data under legitimate interest: it is already published by the original source with the intent of reaching prospective buyers and renters, and we display the original source alongside every listing we show. If a listing should not appear on our platform, contact us and we will review and remove it.

Advertiser names on property pages of rental listings

The property page of a rental listing names the advertiser as the original portal published it, on one line labelled "Company" or "Private advertiser". The label is our own reading of the published name, not a statement by the advertiser. Property pages for listings offered for sale do not show an advertiser line. If you advertised a property privately and do not want your name shown on Alpine Market, email info@alpinemarket.ch with the link to the property page. We will remove your name from the advertiser line of every property page, including later listings published under the same name, and confirm by reply. If your name also appears in the advertisement text, ask us to remove that listing, as described above.

Agent and agency contact data

Where a listing carries an agent or agency name, email, or phone number, we process that contact data under legitimate interest, for the purpose of routing buyer and renter inquiries and, occasionally, contacting the agent about a specific listing (for example, to request missing information or verify a detail). Any agent or agency can opt out of further contact at any time by emailing info@alpinemarket.ch, and we honor opt-outs permanently.

Legal basis and your rights

We process personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), and, for visitors in the EU/EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), on the grounds of contract performance (your account and messages), legitimate interest (public listing data, platform security, agent contact for routing), and consent (marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time). You have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Data hosting and retention

Account, lead, and listing data is stored with our database provider, Supabase. Account data is retained for the life of your account; leads are retained as long as needed to respond to the inquiry and for a reasonable follow-up period afterward. We never sell personal data to third parties.
